I have recently changed accountants to Charltons accounting firm. I received my refund today, that makes them officially 25% faster than my old accountant. The service from day one has been outstanding. Douglas and Dominika have been my main contacts and their communication and knowledge is exceptional. Emails and calls are all ways responded to quickly with no outcome to challenging. They have also assisted me with starting up a new SMSF that is said to be complicated. The team navigated me through the whole process with streamline confidence. I am so happy i made the change, if your considering a new accountant i can not recommend Charltons enough. They have a whole team to support each other and their clients. Very happy customer 😃 My new SMSF property has settled. Could not have done it without the help of Douglas and Dominika. Charltons have managed my personal tax affairs for 30 years, and my business for the past 20 years. The value they have added in both areas over this time is huge and I've enjoyed dealing with the many staff members I've had contact with over the years. I have referred many friends and clients to Charltons over the years and have had nothing but positive feedback. Finding a medium sized accountancy firm that really looks after clients as individuals isn't easy but I have found Charltons do this very well.

I was questioning whether to leave this review but after being emailed directly (without my business partner and new accountant) I feel the need to speak out about this. I had engaged with Charltons for many years (since 2007) Dealing with two staff members directly that I was extremely happy with and had no issues, up until recently. After my accountant and his PA had left, that's where the issues had started. I was left with a huge tax bill which didn't make any sense until my new accountant had flagged that it was not consolidated properly. After reaching back out to Charltons to try to resolve this and have them look into it. We had dealt with Emma directly who is extremely rude and patronising over the phone to myself and business partner. We had asked them politely to take a look into my affairs but were fobbed off. After my business partner left a factual review about his experience with Charltons, I was emailed directly by Chris in an intimidating manner asking my business partner for an apology because apparently we were breaching 'googles policies' for leaving a review. We always act in an ethical manner and allow a business to at least try to rectify things in a polite and professional manner but unfortunately we are left with bullying tactics and certain people left out of emails to try and intimidate myself. I would not recommend Charltons to anyone based on my own experience with them as I would have been left with a large sum of money out of pocket which I didn't actually need to pay in tax if my account was consolidated properly.

I have been with Charltons for 3 months now and have found the services to be far above and beyond my expectations. All staff have been extremely helpful, polite and wanting to go the extra mile to assist. My accountant, James Pettit, has been extremely knowledgeable in all areas surrounding our business and investments. I could not recommend their services enough! Beyond happy and looking forward to a long lasting relationship.

James P has been wonderful in the process of setting up my business and guiding me through the accounting processes. He takes the time to explain things and help me learn as we go. Would 100% recommend working with Charltons!
