Nelay Accountants is a Townsville accounting firm founded by Sebastian Nicholas in 2024. It operates primarily online and works with businesses across Australia. The firm specialises in helping tradies and small business owners, with a focus on trade, construction and small business. Its legal entity is Nelay Pty Ltd, and it operates in partnership with AbFabs Pty Ltd. Nelay Accountants is a member of the Institute of Public Accountants.

Director Sebastian Nicholas holds a Master's degree in Professional Accounting. The firm uses a 6 step structured approach and has an upfront, fixed-price policy. It offers a free initial consultation and does the full handover from your previous accountant. Nelay Accountants regularly attends trade and construction conferences. Its liability is limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation. Services include accounting, tax planning, business advisory and finance management.

A personal, approachable style from Sebastian, whose name features throughout the feedback, is the quality that stands out most. Various customers describe him as down to earth and straightforward when discussing financial matters, and reviews time and again mention that he takes care to explain processes and likely outcomes in plain language. He is described as knowledgeable and professional, with advice that comes across as honest and upfront. Individual tax returns are a service that comes up often, alongside work for businesses, and customers describe returns being managed efficiently and thoroughly.

A long-term financial plan was mapped out for one client after family goals were discussed, and the wider team is credited with going beyond expectations to keep the tax return process running smoothly. The practice is repeatedly called organised and efficient, and many clients state they intend to return in future years. The confidence and clarity gained from the guidance given is a point raised more than once, as is the sense that the firm takes a genuine interest in the people it serves. Personal and business accounting both feature in the feedback, with Sebastian's approachable manner and clear explanations at the centre of it.
