Extremely disappointing service. The accountant was unclear about what information was needed for our Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) return, repeatedly requesting additional details one item at a time instead of providing a comprehensive list from the outset. Communication was slow, and I was regularly forced to follow up for updates rather than being kept informed. What should have been a routine SMSF return took 10 months to complete. There was little evidence of proactive client management, with the firm appearing to wait for the client to continually chase progress rather than keeping matters moving. The entire process felt disorganised, inefficient, and unnecessarily drawn out. A professional accounting service should provide clear guidance, timely communication, and proactive management of client matters. Unfortunately, this experience fell well short of those expectations. I would not use this firm again and would not recommend them to others seeking SMSF accounting services.

Helpful and reliable

BC Accountants are the worst I've encountered. I only found out last week from the ATO that, despite my payment, BC failed to lodge my business taxes three years ago. The ATO is chasing me, though BC Accountants deny responsibility and were rude when I requested a refund, even threatening to sue me when I told them I would be complaining to Fair Trading and the Tax Practitioners Board. I've since lodged a complaint with the Tax Practitioners Board and informed the ATO of BC's unprofessional conduct. I hope I don't face ATO penalties due to BC Accountants' incompetence.

Stephen's very efficient and prompt with his responses. We've used BC Accountants for almost a decade now filing our SMSF's tax returns and have not had any issues. Would highly recommend.

Have been using BC for our company tax returns for some years now, and cannot fault their service. Always highly efficient, excellent value, and do a thorough and effective job. They definitely stand out from the crowd :-)
