I thought I'd already left a review for these guys and girls years ago - Sorry for the delay team! I've worked with Alan and the wider team since 2019. They've been a helpful partner in 3 separate businesses. During COVID they helped keep my business afloat, I really couldn't have navigated those times without them. It was their knowledge of the business grants that even alerted me to the fact that we were eligible for employing business payments in the first place. I'm now in a different state altogether, but still choose to utilise their services from Victoria. I would imagine I am not the easiest client. I'm not particularly organised, and regardless of how many times it's explained to me, I still need the same level of communication a 7 year old might need when explaining tax accounting. Regardless, they still explain it and they're on hand to help with planning and spot fires. Although I'm fully aware G2 are not my personal assistants, Holly still regularly helps me format Xero data correctly and onboard new staff. The payment model suits me just fine - set and forget. You may end up paying a few months without needing anything from them, but it evens itself out when you're going through a hectic period and have them on speed dial. They're also very pragmatic when it comes to feedback. Business owners can be highly opinionated with strong personalities, but instead of butting heads on something, whenever I've given feedback it's been received well. I've known Alan for years, he is my family accountant. Alan operates a private accounting practice with his brother. He's a former ATO executive that understands taxation rules. Alan has experience across both sectors. He has a dairy farmer background, personable, and generous with his time so its easy to get a good fit with this bloke. All smiles to start with - then progressively went backwards. Not communicative, gave incorrect advice regarding JobKeeper - had to do it all myself as well as Super etc. Made us feel as though we were a distraction in their business. Gone to a fee based accountant with more personal service. Perhaps we were too small for them to bother with?
