Greedy. Cost of service doubled year on year for same service! I have not written a review because I thought I may need to access tax records from Simple Solutions, which I might add come at an absorbent cost!!!! Myself and partner were customers of Simple Solutions Tax and Accounting from 2010 onwards for both individual and sole trader tax affairs/ returns, all of which were very simple (no investments etc). I would do much of the work for the sole trader business, collate all the data on income and expenses in categories and have them ready for them. For the same unchanged service the cost increased from $300p/a to 1200p/a over the years! I have spoken to others who have reported the same. The best was when we were asked to sign off (after it had been supposedly checked) and owed a ridiculous amount to the tax office, where he had earned more than I remembered. Luckily he didn't sign it, as I found an error in their workings out. This error greatly reduced our tax bill. We were never offered any apology for the error, but rather told by their tax agent that it was only partially her fault! Unbelievable! We obviously no longer do business with Simple Solutions and have found another more thorough accountant who charges $300 for a simple sole trader return.
Very rude reception, I missed 1 appointment due to a tree falling on my head the night before and when I rang the next day to explain, before I could even finish what I was saying the lady on the phone cut me off by saying "listen, ur not a right fit for our company" then hung up on me.......needless to say I will never deal with them again
An incredibly professional, knowledgeable and helpful group of people. Can't recommend them highly enough.
