Carey Group Townsville

I have a local real estate firm in Townsville. Carey Group was engaged to do 2 audits. The level of incompetence shown throughout this audit process was astounding. There was no communication, the completion date for the audit was well past the timeframe initially advised (with no communication), and as a result I was fined by the OFT. At no stage was I informed that the initial staff member handling my file had left the company, and the lack of follow-up or communication during a critical compliance process was simply not good enough. I have been working with a solicitor on this matter and will be requiring Carey Group to pay the OFT fine in full and I will also be pursuing recovery of my legal costs in relation to this issue as this failure rests entirely with the company. This has been confirmed by the solicitors working with me on this case. Additionally, the prior audit period was not forwarded to the OFT, nor was I ever advised that this was required. This was another significant oversight on Carey group. I’m very happy to now have a professional and communicative auditing and accounting firm managing my audits. Carey Group could not have made this process any more stressful.
